The last leg of the six-part Million Leaders Train the Trainers Mandate Volume II was held recently in succession in Cebu City, Cagayan de Oro and Word of Hope Church. Over 3,000 trainers from the three sites combined benefited from the conference. The same trainers are expected to bring the training to other leaders in their areas who will in turn train other leaders, too, for the great harvest of souls.
Talent Is Never Enough is the main focus of the conference which is anchored on Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me”. The conference was conducted by key leaders of Equip International, namely Steve Miller, Gregg smith and Mohan Maharaj, and our Senior Pastor Dave Sobrepeña, as well as Novaliches Satellite Pastor-in-charge, Jhun Cunanan.

Report from Cambodia Missions
Couple Warren and Victoria Aragona are just two of the select few who have been chosen to go to Cambodia, whom God is using mightily to plant churches, and reach the
They are the modern-day disciples who, like Paul and other Christ followers, have faced many trials and difficulties in their pursuit of helping fulfill the Great Commission. They have been exposed to constant danger. Several times thieves have broken into their house and stole their chickens until none was left. Their vehicle was under surveillance by the police patrol.. In the area where they live, many people are infected with AIDS, some have died. Victoria, a doctor by profession , had to treat a patient who was diabetic, and suspected to be a carrier of the deadly virus.
But praise be to God, His protective hand is always upon them. They have overcome the seemingly insurmountable crises that came across their way. Above all, their spiritual labor has paid off. Today, God has planted a church in Rumkoal and He has shown Himself to its people . The believers who have been baptized are active in church. Some of the believers have the potential to become pastors of their outreaches, and eventually one will become a Pastor in Rumkoal this end of the year.
Pastor Warren, Sister Victoria and the other missionaries need our prayers for them to endure the hardships in the missions field. To God be the glory!

Word of Hope Christian Church is holding the first-ever, much-awaited WOHLYMPICS (Sports Festival) on June 12, 2010. This is part of our church’s holistic approach in reaching out to people and winning their soul for the Lord Jesus Christ. The festival is also a venue for strengthening the relationship of the Pastoral Staff and workers of the Main Church with those of the satellite churches.
The sports festival will be preceded by a fun run which will begin at 5:30 am with no less than our Senior Pastor, David A. Sobrepeña, spearheading the activity.
The fun run will start at the gate of our church on EDSA, the participants will turn right to West Avenue, then to Baler St., Judge Juan Luna, Roosevelt Avenue, and turn right back to EDSA where it ends at the gate of Word of Hope.
Other events include baskteball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and traditional Filipino games like pantintero, piko, and tumbang preso, among others.

The Hope Leadership Institute (HLI) was inaugurated recently in a simple ceremony, and a leadership seminar attended by Pastor and leaders from Word of Hope and other churches in Metro Manila.
HLI was established as a leadership center that will train pastors from all over Asia and the Pacific region. It will also train church planters, missionaries and evangelists for the great harvest of souls before the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. HLI will become a hub, – a converging spot in the Asia Pacific — for all Christian leaders who would want to be equipped for the hasvest. Trainings will be conducted two weeks at a time by professors and teachers who will come from Europe, America and Asia.
The Institue is equipped with a dormitory, high tect facilities and a gymnasium that can seat over 1,000 people.
The inauguration / dedication was led by our honored guest Pastors from the U.S. Dale Pond, Greg Smith, David Dykes and Dick Slack and our very own Senior Pastor. David A. SObrepeña.
