The main purpose of their travel is to minister in The Wittenberg 2017 Congress which is held in Maritim Hotel Berlin and at the famous All Saints Church also known as The Castle Church. The once-in-a-lifetime summit is celebrating and commemorating the 500 years of Martin Luther’s courageous leadership that brought our Church to where it is today. Our music team, The Word of Hope Choir and Band were chosen to be the only music minister to perform in such a historical event.
Along with that, they have been invited to minister to neighboring churches in the Schengen area, they we’re invited by the Humble and Generous Filipino Pastor Antonio Ibarra of Jesus for all People e.V. in Gießen at Frankfurt International Church. It’s a beautiful church, with different race and good people like their Pastor. The team sang hymnal Christian music with a modern twist to lead the congregation in worship. Pastor Jhun Cunanan preached the Word of God, as it was translated by a real princess in the line of Henry’s. The Congregation we’re responsive all throughout the service. They we’re really blessed by God’s word! It was a beautiful service and experience.
After the team ministered in Frankfurt, Germany they travelled to Amsterdam as they we’re also invited to sing in Maranatha Ministries, one of the largest growing church in the city led by the Faithful Pastor Stenley Hofkins. They we’re assisted by the Graceful and Friendly Pastor Gerard Liesdek, once they arrived in the beautiful city of Amsterdam.
The choir held a concert on a Saturday night, and sang two (2) more song on their Sunday morning service. Our Dear Senior Pastor David A. Sobrepeña preached that morning and asked the congregation to come in front so that he can pray for them. The church was full with people and the House of the Lord was filled with the Holy Spirit, as His people sing and dance for God’s greater glory!
After Amsterdam the team went straight to Berlin, Maritim Hotel to be a part of the Wittenberg Congress 2017. They led the Praise and Worship in Maritim Hotel for that two days event, and they we’re conducted by the Beautiful Ms. Rachel Currea. On the last night at Maritim Hotel, our Dear Senior Pastor David A. Sobrepeña received the first ever Martin Luther Leadership Award at the Speakers Dinner at the Wittenberg Congress 2017. Dr. James O. Davis presented this award to our Pastor who is also a great friend of his.
On the last day the Word of Hope Choir together with the Band sang classical and hymnal songs in acapella at Castle Church. The church, where Martin Luther’s body is buried and the door where he nailed his 95 theses reformation. All in all the experience of God’s greatness in the life of our Pastor, Choir and fellow Christians are extraordinary. TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!
